The fact that in January Jupiter has returned to the start of your opposing sign, Taurus, to start the transit all over again, gives a certain feeling of deja vu to partnership matters. It may be that plans or the details within those plans which were apparent from June last year have to be revised or that you have chosen to approach things from a new perspective, based on the blockages and problems arising August last – much of life is correct by default so don't worry too much. Planet Uranus is also at the beginning of Aries again in January, but for the last time, portending a certain re-tracking or retracing of old steps in the area of loyalties, contracts or arrangements. So it would seem there is a lot of dead wood to be gotten rid of, and some revitalisation, before the staleness of outworn life and experience threatens to overwhelm you. Worry not, Mars is doing a long haul through Virgo – November 2011 to July 2012 - and is set to refresh connections, lifestyle aims and objectives, together with certain ambitions that may have become more like dutiful chores than inspirational endeavours. This planet's retrograde motion in the third week of January will give pause until mid-April to absolutely highlight the leaks and flaws and pitfalls, of which you should take heed or see them lead to a deluge of time wasting that's hard to make up for if ignored Friends and associates also come under the scrutiny of the Mars marathon; the purge being thorough enough to oust people who don't pass muster or who keep on uttering the same old rhetorical promises without the action to follow up.

The entrance of Neptune into Pisces in February is stately and final, after dallying around betwixt and between Aquarius during 2011. It is set now in Pisces for a duration of twelve or so years and the change in energy as it kicks in will become gradually more profound. Scorpios born in the last five days of the sign will probably feel the reverberations of this change most, but there has been a difficult aspect between Neptune and your Sun for approximately the past three years and therefore the modification Neptune in Pisces makes to some of the problems is subtle; either there is no longer a tangible grasp on situations - rendering them difficult in entirely new ways. Or your tendency to ignore what cannot be cured is increased with little evidence of the consequences of what this strategy may mean further along the line. 2012 is the much vaunted year of the start of the Age of Aquarius proper, and there is speculation over what exactly it will yield. It may not feel like much to people who have not worked on inner strengthening, or are unaware of the higher dimensional shifts, but for a lot of Scorpios the heightening of their energy is very real. Use it or lose it is the byword! And your sign certainly has plenty of it. The sensitivity of Scorpio is sometimes too intense and hard to handle. Learn now to handle your energy/power by conserving it, nurturing it and accepting it as a fact of this lifetime. The call to arms will be heard and you can then invest it and see return on it.

March sees the ever decreasing circular route taken by Uranus since last spring coming to an end. From March it leaves the well worn groove you experienced in workaday or vocational matters and presents the opportunity for you to get to grips with changes (and brave ones at that) which you had plenty of time to envisage and organise during last year. There is a need to catch your breath in April as this same planet begins to make aspectual confrontation with Pluto/Capricorn, demanding stronger backing, proof or commitment to the purpose before you proceed into some very heady and untried waters. There may need to be a hedging of risk or a balancing of innovation with caution out until the spring of 2014. High risk is likely but has to be hazarded if there is to be any gaining of ground over the plateau of predictability which looms on the horizon in the absence of it. If 2011 was a year of great effort and staying power - sometimes with a little progress and often with only a glimmer of it - then 2012 is a year when results are shown as potentiality or not shown at all. There is no such thing as failure in the real sense, there is only detour and defeat, and that is also often a choice in disguise.
