January 2012In January Jupiter is back at the beginning of Taurus (the other Venusian ruled sign alongside your own). It points to the fulfilment or practical progress of what began last June and was aborted or overly deliberated on in August. Rather than just planning, planning and more planning. The ideology behind whatever you have set your heart on is well known to you (and to those involved) but it needs now to be substituted by the hands-on stage and it's looking fair that this will happen once March is out. Only then perhaps is it evident how the purpose of what you're building has been made more starkly clear or totally changed in outline. With Mars on the long haul through Virgo in your solar twelfth house until July there are purposes you dare not reveal yet for fear of failure, or maybe there are motives in others that you have yet to discover which are remaining hidden for similar reasons. Once a secretive or highly classified course of events is underway it is hard to determine where the covert route began and where the reluctance to shared communication actually lies. But in the third week of January when Mars is direct again the journey Mars takes out to late April smooths some of the massive uncertainty and underlying resentment towards greater declaration of openness or purpose. Importance placed on security matters and financial well-being cannot be over-estimated, of course, but there are times when too much dwelling and fiddling and tweaking is worse than no action at all. If the twelfth house is sometimes known as the 'Waiting Room of life' then to some extent the twiddling and tweaking will not actually harm what you've planned so much as cause you to worry needlessly – and this will naturally have an effect on outcome. The forward surge Uranus makes for the last time from the start of Aries in the first months of the year gives a portion of your power away in the form of first choice to partners. Only when the planet Uranus forms an aspect to Pluto in Capricorn by April does this have to be re-appraised or adjusted as the restraints on what can be personally allowed or what joint arrangements can withstand – either financially or emotionally – come into the forefront and form the dam between the wider oceans of unchartered flow and the more cautious stream of movement which has begun and cannot be stemmed. Some kind of flexible border must be set up between April and September if there is not to be a restrictive regime, initially disguised as a means of support, over the next three or four years. What cannot be cured must be endured, for certain, but it's also true to say that if something is not actually broken it might not need to be fixed. When Saturn retrogrades in Libra in February it does so for five months and has the greatest effect on Librans born in the last ten or twelve days of the sign. It also coincides with the entrance of Neptune into Pisces leaving Uranus for good finally. It may be too late then to rectify or nail some of the problems lingering in your intimate and personal life needing extra investigation. A lesson has to be learnt about how reality is not a fixed truth but a movable feast and although there was certainty in areas of experience at one time, they are no longer valid or viable for someone else unless they shared exactly your view or were given information about it at the time it existed. This is why people don't agree on past experience, because they were aiming for different things within it. Let go of the past now, seek out pastures new in ways that can serve you spiritually by you serving them. The year 2012 is a significant one. And everyone will feel variously and differently about why it's significant. Some will not even know it is significant beforehand, only by what happened to them personally as events unfold will it seem outstanding. But for people with an awareness of collective spirituality it is the year when the existing principals of material life are seen for what they are and lose both the allure and the sting. Libran people are great ones for designing the form. But the form now must include a deeper and more meaningful set of tools, dignifying the deeper search for connection within a richer appreciation of what mind, body and spirit can achieve.
