In January Jupiter is back at the start of Taurus, just as it was last June. The difference being that this March it will surpass certain points in your affairs where it tended to back off in August. Many Leo people will see a clearing or a progress in their career or in their more important outer world planing. There are liable to be fixed attitudes or fairly intense developments and these are compounded by the transit of Mars through Virgo effecting matters relating to your self-earned money or security investments. The Mars transit is made longer (November 2011 to July 2012) by the fact that the planet retrogrades in the third week of January, just as Neptune prepares to leave Aquarius for the final time and enter Pisces: this combined energy points to marked changes in the way you rely on people close to you or the way they rely on you. Certainly there will be the need for deepened understanding, giving way to greater tolerance perhaps, as Uranus makes the first degrees of Aries, again and for the final time, and Jupiter retraces steps in Taurus. It sounds like a series of repeat showings, but what it most probably means is that you were highly unsatisfied with the way things rolled out last year, whether you had a control over them or not, and so these issues must be re-started or approached differently before they can go ahead. However, if they do go ahead they move at considerable speed.

2012 has long been highlighted as the year of a great cosmic shift in energy. People ask how. We answer that we cannot be sure. The entrance of Neptune into Pisces has to figure largely as Pisces/Neptune is the most 'other worldly' or enigmatic of the planetary energies. It is about all things religious, mystical or transpersonal. It might be said to represent the individual's spiritual world. Everyone has a world which is spiritual - whether it is dark or light or somewhere in the middle. The emotions are part of it and so too is the imagination. As this year unfolds it becomes apparent to Leos the world over that the heart stuff for which the vibration of Leo is famous cannot be ruled out of this equation. Letting your heart rule you is not the terrible thing we're often told it is; in an evolved Leo the instinct of what they know best in the heart is often strong enough to make or break them. Let your heart speak to you, of the good and the bad, and know what is true and what is sham, by the end of February. Sign up for it, be up for it, communicate it or shout it from the rooftops in the first few days of March this year - a little period that makes all the difference to what you have been pushing for since March 2011. Or maybe what has pushed you since the May of last year.

We have a Retrograde Mercury aspect in March beginning in Aries and ending up in Pisces, but going forward again in the first week of April. Usually Mercury retrogrades earlier in any given year, but it may be happening to assist planet Uranus from the loop its been making recently around your understanding of future, professional and long term security matters. The spirit and the heart should be in the profession - whether it is a paid profession or not – and then the two become merged to give great joy. Uranus is a higher octave of Mercury and so the velocity and fusion of these two planetary energies in March give the crucial edge to things such as geographical location, legal obligations and everything which forms a regular basis for matters of security. By the third week of April you have gone beyond any tension or pressure and seen that this was necessary to urge you to revelations or opinions that can't be reached in any other way. The 'pressure cooker effect'. Not all pressure is bad, some of it is unavoidable and some of it is actually beneficial as part of a higher energy scheme. The knack is not to be afraid of it and to get alined with it so that it synethesizes with what you're becoming and what you are aiming to be. Pressure ceases to be pressure once harnessed to a workable whole. We cannot make changes without changing ourself. We constantly grow and become more than we were. It may be just that 2012 is the period when we have to grow quicker and faster to a rarified pattern we are not yet certain of.
