Mars is in the other Mercury ruled sign of Virgo at present and will remain there until July; worth mentioning that the long-haul this planet is doing will effect you most in the area of your personal life and feelings. It might cause disruption to your domestic environment or it might be that your housing situation looks different at the end of the watershed period – January to July - when the clearing of obstacles or misnomers economically begs the question of how best to rearrange things to suit the contemporary needs of you and those dear to you. Mars is nothing if not thorough and while in this earth sign it ensures that facts have to be faced, or the consequences faced later. By the third week of January there will a clearer picture of where your finances or your emotions (or both) must be redirected to prevent an impasse or a break in the picture over the next five months, resulting in a crack so large it spoils the veneer of life and mars the appreciation of others looking on at you from an admiring distance and enjoying the idea of potentially coming closer. You may not be aware that you are trying to impress others, or that you feel you need to, but the evidence of April and May should give you the clue. It is then impossible to deny to yourself that you are actually presenting an image in order to stake a claim or pitch a scheme which requires the participation of others and therefore their initial good opinion. The wow factor is often what Gemini subjects create and then find hard to sustain. If so in May, hand over to someone else the responsibility of maintaining the nuts and bolts whilst you get on with what it is the wow factor brings in the way of opportunity.

The action of Jupiter through your twelfth house will begin right from the start again in January, signifying the need to take something down to the bone, or retrace steps which were not entirely wrong - last June to August - but were incomplete and therefore need to be trodden again for there to be a direct line rather than a wavering path out to the ideal climate or situation: that stage or setting which comes only every twelve years when Jupiter moves into your sign. In June this year the transit of Jupiter begins through Gemini and it means the worst and the best of what it is you are made of. So yes, you get to do what floats your boat, but it is not a forgone conclusion what it will mean ultimately. It might advance your learning, but won't necessarily have the staying power unless you put down insulation against extreme conditions while you're expenditure exceeds your income or your promises are louder than your confirmations. If others are to take you on trust they must know what they are dealing with. Not just who you are, but where you are coming from and what your motives toward them are.

The direct motion of Uranus in Aries this year signals an increase in connected or associated lifestyle plans. This concerns greater prestige or ambition and the ability to reach the people who can recognise what you are talking about and what you contribute in order to prosper. It matters little how fluent you are in a language, if others don't speak it you will just waste your breath. The climate around you is changing now, albeit slowly, but by March the looping or circular motion of new plans (which may have become old hopes) is about to break; the speed with which they will move in a straight forward direction may run away with you if you're not holding your ground. Danger is that when something has been jogging along at a predictable pace for a good while, the slightest increase is enough to dislodge its stability. Be mindful by mid April that when something is believed in and pursued it must at some point be put to the test of manifestation, or it must dissolve.
