The year starts with the retrograde motion of Mercury in your opposing sign of capricorn, focusing on clauses and facts within partnership matters, both personal and non-personal, which must be addressed if an impasse of some kind is to be avoided. It could be contractual, or it could be verbal, but somewhere along the line it is about formality and not just whimsical notion. It may be that it follows on closely from where things were in December but there has to be acknowledgement of what is happening before things can be sorted, and this is where the fault may lie. Make sure you are definite in what you say and what you mean because it has a pronounced influence on whatever results are hoped for as June arrives. It may mean the difference between swift advancement, with co-operation, or having to do things by yourself.

The presence of Jupiter through pisces is set to bring your more hopeful or optimistic connections into an appealing future plan, but these can disappear without trace once Jupiter leaves the sign, unless some established measures for permanency are laid before the spring. The time for pushing, progressing and pioneering is June. The thing to watch about Jupiter in the nebulous sign of pisces is that whatever is not nailed down will either dissolve or disappear when the planet exits . The exit this year is in June, when its debut into aries is for a brief three months, before it retrogrades back into pisces in September. Therefore the middle months of this year are for establishing what has gone before in the first six months. And this is the warning: make sure you can do it properly before investing time or energy into matters of the heart or personal projects once the first six months has shown what is required for the future. The weightier and firmer side of planetary energy in this first half of the year is not really very keen, so it is necessary to subject things to the acid test between June and September, being prepared to fail prior to getting things modified and exact.

By all means go for the big one. But patience may be missing in the mix and that is why the first two weeks of January are key: there cannot and should not be misunderstanding then; the substance and base due to form in April is only as durable as the information or connections set up in January. Although the scene is rosy in April there will be the need to go back and take another look at details from October of 2009 before the whole stage is fit for purpose. There is a 'frozen frame' sort of feeling to the beginnings of 2010 which demands or begs of you to take notice of restrictive personal or domestic obligations and observe whether these can be improved by allowing others who are supportive to you - often in silence - to be canvassed for greater input. Or whether in fact the democratic process put in place last year for dealing with tricky situations is democratic enough, or just a cure-all which has ceased to be effective. By April the purge Mars is trying to make for your benefit through security and money areas will be nearly ready to surpass the limitations of last December and present an agenda of choices that you need to be prepared for in June and July

May Update

The May month ends with you searching out your elemental self in a strong way, due to the presence of Venus in your own sign. This means you will want to primarily gain the right responses so as to establish a feeling of security before going ahead with quite dramatic plans that can potentially pass the all unstoppable point hovering since just before last Christmas. The idea of being selective and having the confidence to use the selection can be played out as June requires the need to make choices based on sound expertise and an eye for what is good. You must trust your own judgement then, no matter who is dividing your attention or splitting the vote, because by the end of the month you will be able to back the selections with the correct information and get that blend of impressive support and unique style that thrills you; it's the cancerian need to be out front in terms of what is necessary and well received: a lot of cancerians are able to supply what is needed before it is even requested, making you superb marketeers and facilitators in many walks of life.

The change of sign of Uranus into aries in June is the biggest planetary news this year! it will then leave pisces - where it dragged it's maverick feet - and can just go for it, with or without style, to the very front of any action and lead anyone daring enough to follow to the edges of ostentatious breakthrough. But ... maybe not fully until next year, because there has to be a pilot to this, as to all innovation portending serious business. So please understand that the presence of Jupiter in June/July escorting the rumbustious Uranus for a few weeks offers the ability to preview the landscape - in safety - before deciding whether to book the safari or not. You have time to deliberate until November, taking in a lot of the new and some of the old data from the first six months of the year, before reaching the conclusions. The movement of Saturn back into virgo in April will help you salvage the steadfast and the dependable things that were possibly under-appreciated or unavailable in autumn 2009 and harness them to what they need to make them workable in a future sense.

Get ready to be democratically involved in August in domestic and personal situations, allowing ultimately for greater freedom. The only way to achieve this is to merge forces with others who know how to do things better than you do, or are able to relieve you of restrictions, and in the most effective of ways that will make you feel refreshed and upgraded. A lot of cancerians will be under a powerful romantic influence at that time, or one which will offer a charismatic pull needing to be investigated. Cancer is naturally suspicious, even whilst seeming open and trusting, so don't decide until you've tested this potential marvel and either found it lacking or the best thing ever... and this may not be obvious until the end of November. Now you are intrigued, but if you think of what you really knew you needed over the last two years, possibly visualised and maybe dismissed as impossible under the circumstances, you will know more about what we are talking of. This uplift comes as you feel you will never have the freedom, energy or resource to get to the next level of life's fulfilling aims. And as such It has little to do with past record or status. Remember Cancer, you are not just about your ability to be productive, as much as what you are giving of yourself unconditionally and what that is able to bring back to you, often without you being aware.

September Update

Mars into the other watery sign of scorpio in September is joined by Venus so that later in that month there is an accent on all things creative, passionate or sacred to your joy factor. And with the retrograde motion of Jupiter back in pisces, it is bound to be an emotional or a nostalgic time. Both pisces and scorpio are fond of the past and the sentiment it brings, therefore the combined energies of these two will be very searching and emotive. The retrograde motion of Mercury in virgo since mid-August until the second week of September will ensure that the detail of what you’re thinking, remembering or documenting is accurate and concise. Virgo loves accuracy as much as pisces loves feelings. If life is an orchestration then all these rhythms indicate the likelihood of your deliberate intention to re-create your environment within more loving, happy or enjoyable terms.

The planet Saturn is forward into libra again too, which means that the old and outworn situations, burdens and issues lingering from last year have finally moved to a point where they have resolution or have diminished in worry so that they are no longer causing concern. The winding down of the chapter given by Uranus in pisces through the past seven years has also come near to its finale - from the middle of December it will be a case of watching the vessel sale away from the shore on which you’ve just landed. It is not that the vessel isn’t worthy any more, but that it is not a your best conveyance for progress Some people find themselves walking away from the trappings and settings of the last seven years, rather than seeing them fold or dismantled. This is you, Cancer, for what you will be sensing is that you have passed through a whole landscape and played your part and made your contribution and that things are the better for it. But lingering around for the sake of sentimental reasons isn’t the best plan.

Knowing when to jump off is a knack which once acquired makes you more confident where other ventures or risks are needed. The first half of December is just such a juncture. To change track then or to allow past connections to reshape into something they were not allowed to be before, or for people to come into your area of vocation from seemingly out of the wild blue yonder, is to seize a period of greater transformation and make it pay off. Both Uranus and Jupiter are nudging you to see the benefit in perennial values - which include people and places - not for sentimental reasons but because these things are part of your soul journey. What you hold sacred is not subject to whim, fashion or sell-by date. Allow the wholeness of your life to come together and see the valuable past strengthen the potential in the present so that you’re ready next spring to make the complete entrance into the wider horizons now seen only as a smaller access route. The research or deliberation you do in October may take you through November to December before you are fairly content with what you’re looking for. You may not know it until you come across it, but don’t give up until you’ve found it.
